The Examination for Professional Practice in Psychology (EPPP) is a knowledge-based exam developed by the Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards (ASPPB) used in the United States and most Canadian provinces. The exam was created to evaluate a Psychologist’s competency in crucial areas of practice.
The EPPP contains 225 questions. 175 question are scored and 50 questions on the exam are considered pre-test items. The pre-test items are not counted towards a candidate’s final score. The ASPPB recommends a passing score between 450 and 500 depending on level of practice; however, each state board sets their own required passing score, so it is important to check your jurisdiction’s passing score requirement before testing.
